Ryan got a new ride for his birthday from my brother {K, you are too sweet to us!} ... it's a vintage 1975 Motobecane Nomad. We just moved from Eugene, OR, where the biking community is huge. Eventhough it rains more often than not there, everyone rides to work or campus and there are tons of cool, locally owned bike shops. Here in NC, not so much. That's why I was so happy to find the Oak City Cycling Project. A fresh startup in downtown Raleigh, with big goals in mind. I love that they focus on refurbishing vintage steel frames and that they're promoting a ride everyday mentality, in a town full of gas-guzzlers. Yay, for sweet big brothers, new {old} bikes, and forward motion.
Thanks for the bike love, Cara! We appreciate your passion for cycling. Eugene is definitely a great place to be and we are confident that Raleigh will soon be a place where cycling is a prominent form of transportation. Let's hope this is just the beginning of the fun we can have at Oak City Cycling Project. Welcome to Raleigh; it's an excellent place to be!
