dick moody's favorite old fashioned layer cake...

I'm pleased to announce that the Mama Moody will be making "dick moody's favorite Old Fashioned Stack Cakes" this holiday season.  {Above and below are the labels I designed for them}  Stack cakes are a traditional Appalachian mountain wedding cake, consisting of thin cake layers {almost like pancakes} and fruit...the fruit gets absorbed by the delicious layers and the end result is a fantastic cake that is not too sweet or overly rich, just gooooood.  be sure to get an order in EARLY, these babies are a limited release and are sure to fly off the baker's rack.  AND be sure to click over to facebook and give mama moody some love in the form of a "like"!

call me...

I decided quite a while ago that I need a calling/notecard of some sort and finally got a first draft printed today.  what do you think?  it's a folded calling card {front + back} with just a print of hearts on the inside, so that I can write a little message and/or gift certificate.  although it's not my ideal {letterpress} option, I think it's a good start.

so I made this background pattern for a Melange ad I put together last night...

I'm loving the colorful quilt-like squares... need to find a real-world application to implement such.
